I felt so mean this morning waking her up to let her out before I had to go to work.

Labor Day
Labor day. We spent all day up working on the property. Max spent quite a while working with the digger to help level off the new cabin site. We almost have it done. Too bad the original site wouldn't work. This new site should have a nicer view though - just more work.

My mom giving Max and Jake a few pointers before letting them loose.

Dad clearing a little more on the path leading to the top of the hill. We all kept a safe distance back waiting for the digger to tip over. Driving that to the top is not something I would ever want to do.
Working on the water tank on top of the mountain.

"You want me to do what?"
He was the only one willing to climb in to help.
This was the new wasp trap my mom bought. She's had it for a while but not put it up before.
We just poured some pepsi in the bottom and the wasp were drawn to it.
They could get in but not back out. Had at least 20 by the end of the day.

We used to do this when I was little and had to spend the day in the woods getting wood.
While Dad and Gary were cutting down trees we would make whole villages using wood chips, saw dust etc. Zoe spent a long time working on her little village.
The kids rode in the back seat and had a blast.
It's a lot of work but their cabin is looking great.

Lagoon
Today was my company party at Lagoon. The kids had a blast. Poor Jake broke his foot recently and had a cast. The cast made things a bit more difficult for us. He couldn't put any weight on it so we had to carry him or push him in the stroller everywhere.
I was able to have a friend from Arkansas meet me there for a while. Was fun to catch up.

Fire!
These pictures were taken out the window of the Reagan building were I work. This van was on I-15 and was totally engulfed in flames. Half of our building was at the windows watching. I finally remembered I had my camera just as the fire department got there. So I didn't get too many photos. The fireman actually put out the flames pretty quick. I was amazed that they didn't close the freeway. Traffic was slow as it moved to other lanes but it never officially stopped.

more property pics
My mom picked my dad up from the hospital on Saturday morning and he insisted on heading up to the property. My mom, me and Bryan went up to "babysit". It was a pretty nice day up there. It was actually a bit cooler. There were quite a few wild flowers around as well as deer. We rode over to Gary & Irene's cabin to see how they were doing. It's kind of nice to see what ours will look like. (They used the same building plan) Below are a few random pictures that I took through out the day.
